BIS (IS 10500) lists 300 PPM as the desirable limit and 500 PPM as the acceptable limit for drinking water. After RO purification, 50 to 150 PPM is widely considered a good range for taste and minerals. Water below 50 PPM may lack essential minerals, and water above 500 PPM needs purification.

AMC plans generally don't cover damage from outside causes, such as power surges, flooding, physical damage or tampering by another technician. Parts or accessories not listed in your plan are also usually excluded. Read the plan's inclusions and exclusions before buying, and our team can walk you through them.

A choked sediment filter usually shows up as slow tank filling, weak flow and a straining booster pump, because it blocks water from getting through. The main difference is capacity and duty. Commercial plants (offices, restaurants, schools, clinics) generally run from tens to a few hundred litres per hour for drinking and cooking water. Industrial plants handle much larger volumes, often for continuous use in manufacturing, boilers or processing, and have more robust pumps, membranes and controls.

It depends on the cause. Water that looks milky but clears from the bottom up within a minute is usually just trapped air and is harmless. If it stays cloudy, or settles into a layer of sediment, it may contain dirt, rust or excess minerals, and it's best to avoid drinking it until the water has been tested and treated.

Common causes include chlorine used for disinfection, high dissolved minerals, corroded pipes, a dirty overhead tank, and in borewell water, sulphur compounds that smell like rotten eggs. An RO purifier with a carbon filter often improves taste and smell. A water test can confirm the exact cause.

Rust-colored stains usually come from iron in the water or from corroded pipes, and a water softener or iron filter can help. Pink stains are usually caused by airborne bacteria growing on damp surfaces rather than by the water itself, and regular cleaning keeps them under control. If rust stains keep returning, test your water for iron.

Match the filter to your purifier's brand, model and stage (sediment, carbon, membrane or post-carbon). Check the model name on the purifier or the label on the old cartridge, because a wrong size can leak or let water bypass the filter. The easiest route is to let our technician identify the right part and supply it.

Only partly. A washable sediment filter can be rinsed to remove loose dirt, but carbon filters and RO membranes cannot be cleaned effectively and need replacing. Reusing a choked filter can strain the booster pump and let contaminants through.

Yes. Switch off the power, close the inlet valve, and open the purified-water tap to release pressure before opening any filter housing. This prevents leaks and protects the electrical parts. If you're unsure, our technician can do it safely.

You need a water inlet point (tap or pipeline) near the install spot, a power socket within reach of the purifier, and enough wall or counter space for the unit and tank. A drain point for the reject water is also needed. If you're moving into a new flat, have the plumbing and electrical points ready before our technician arrives.
